Kohana writes ....

I would like to thank Katie Haines and others who worked so hard at Alana Haines Awards, and also scholarship sponsors. A big thank you to Janine McGrath at Classical Coaching Australia for the wonderful opportunity for me to attend a one week summer school in Brisbane.

I so much loved having a classical class whole morning. 

I learned so many new techniques and found some new muscles to work with from both classical teachers miss Janine and miss Sim. 

In the afternoon, we had a repertoire class then contemporary with Riley Baldwin.

I especially enjoyed repertoire class taught by Isobelle Dashwood from the Australian Ballet. She is an ex Classical Coaching student and is a such a beautiful role model and dancer. She explained to us the artistry side of variations. I could understand the depth of story behind each variations and the importance of that. Bluebird is a good example. This made me determined to practice more so I could improve my dance.

I enjoyed meeting many good dancers and making new friends. 

The whole experience was inspirational and it will be with me forever.

I have brought some new techniques, knowledge, and determinations home with me which will definitely help me improve a lot.
