Noah writes….

I am writing to say thank you for providing me with the opportunity to attend the July 2017 Paris Opera Ballet Summer School. I would not have been able to do this without your support and it is an experience I will never forget.

I learned so much and had an amazing time meeting lots of students from all over the world and being taught by so many teachers. My dream is one day go to a school that is directly connected to a company, and the opportunity to experience life boarding at the Paris Opera Ballet School gave me a real insight into what life might be like as a boarder.

I enjoyed meeting other students from around the world and hearing stories of their ballet experiences and dreams. It was also very helpful to hear firsthand stories of students talking about life at ballet schools that I had only read about.

I also enjoyed learning from the large variety of teachers we were taught by. It was very helpful to receive feedback and corrections on my technique, musicality and artistry. It is always useful to hear different perspectives on my dancing.

Thank you for the amazing opportunity.

Note from Noah's mother:

AHA Awards funding of his flights also meant we were able to take up the opportunity for Noah to compete at the International Cecchetti competition in Florence at the end of July.  Incredibly timely!   At this competition Noah won the Musicality Award (USD$1500), direct entry to the YAGP New York 2018, a scholarship to Canada's National Ballet School Summer Intensive, a week training scholarship to English National Ballet School, a week scholarship to Zurich Academy and a week scholarship to Staatsoper Vienna. We are looking at them all now and think he will compete in New York in April and take up the ENB and Canada scholarships.
